“I live on the frozen surface of a fireball”

– Julian Casablancas

We are captives of our scale, both in terms of size and time. On a geologic scale, things that seem solid and giant are no different than the crux of a fleeting wave in the middle of the ocean; here one second, then gone forever. Everything is ephemeral. Exploring the massive, seemingly-timeless objects of our planet puts things in perspective. Landscape photography was my first love and remains my biggest inspiration as a photographer and traveler.
